Copper chromium zirconium (CuCrZr) rods are a copper alloy, often identified as UNS C18150, prized for its high electrical and thermal conductivity, high strength, and excellent resistance to softening at high temperatures. These rods are used in applications requiring both high strength and good conductivity, such as in electrical components, resistance welding electrodes, and power generation parts. They are made by adding small amounts of chromium and zirconium to copper, which enhances the alloy's properties through a combination of heat treatment and cold working.
